Job summary

Tao Group Hospitality in New York is seeking a prep cook to support the kitchen by washing, chopping, and preparing ingredients per TAO standards. You will label, store, and label items following FIFO and company guidelines, while maintaining sanitation throughout the station, kitchen, and venue.

The role requires following recipes precisely, communicating with chefs and staff, and performing opening/closing side-work.

Qualifications

• Previous culinary experience preferred.
• Experience as a prep and/or line cook in a high-volume operation preferred.
• Must be able to move quickly.

Responsibilities

• Prep and prepare cooking ingredients by washing, chopping and cutting per recipes.
• Label and store products following FIFO and company standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the station, kitchen and venue.
• Assist with opening/closing duties and side-work as directed.
• Communicate needs to chefs and support staff; work as a team.
