Job summary

Tao Group Hospitality is hiring a prep cook to ensure quality and consistency of all food items in a busy New York venue. You will prep, label, store and handle ingredients following TAO standards while maintaining cleanliness and safety.

This role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, stand for long periods, and lift up to 75 lbs. Training will cover TAO prep procedures and safety.

Qualifications

• Previous culinary experience preferred.
• Experience as prep and/or line cook in a high-volume culinary operation preferred.
• Must be able to follow TAO Standards and recipes.

Responsibilities

• Prepare cooking ingredients by washing, chopping, and cutting according to recipes.
• Label and store all products following FIFO and company standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the station, kitchen, and venue.
• Set up prep station and perform opening/closing side-work as directed.
• Communicate product needs to chefs, sous chefs, and staff; work as a team.
