Job summary

Hash Kitchen Pearland is seeking a Prep Cook to join our energetic brunch-focused team. You will contribute to high-quality food preparation and assist with daily kitchen operations in a fast-paced environment.

You will follow prep lists, learn our menu, and work to ensure consistent dish quality while maintaining a clean, organized station. Training and opportunities for advancement are emphasized within Hash Kitchen’s renowned program.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Previous Kitchen experience is preferred but we offer on the job training.
• Willing to go the extra mile to satisfy every need of our guests.
• Knowledgeable about the menu and the varying products we carry.

Responsibilities

• Follow the prep list created by chefs to plan duties
• Label and stock all ingredients on shelves so they can be organized and easily accessible
• Measure ingredients and seasonings to be used in cooking
• Prepare cooking ingredients by washing and chopping vegetables, cutting meat, etc.
• Undertake basic cooking duties such as reducing sauces, parboiling food, etc.
• Prepare simple dishes such as salads, entrees, etc.
• Maintain a clean and orderly kitchen by washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, taking out the trash, etc.
• Ensure all food and other items are stored properly
• Comply with nutrition and sanitation guidelines
• Perform other kitchen duties as assigned
