Join to apply for the PREP COOK (FULL TIME AND PART TIME) role at Chartwells Higher Education Dining Services.

We are hiring immediately for full time and part time PREP COOK positions.

Location: Connecticut College, 270 Mohegan Avenue, New London, CT 06320.

Schedule: Full time and part time; days and hours may vary, including weekends, days, and nights. More details upon interview.

Requirement: Prior culinary and food service experience preferred.

Pay Rate: $22.50 per hour.

Job Summary

Prepares food and serves customers in accordance with applicable standards, guidelines, and regulations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Obtain daily production schedule and requirements from the Chef.
2. Prepare items on production sheets following recipes.
3. Complete and follow production worksheets and waste logs; taste meals for quality.
4. Operate and clean equipment after use.
5. Store, label, and date food items following HACCP guidelines.
6. Complete required documentation, reports, and logs.
7. Follow health and sanitation regulations.
8. Take customer orders and prepare items with short preparation times.
9. Serve customers efficiently and friendly.
10. Use approved recipes and standards for quality and portion control.
11. Resolve customer concerns and perform other duties as assigned.
