  • We have an opening for full-time and part-time PRODUCTION PREP COOK positions.
  • Location: Longwood Gardens - 1001 Longwood Road, Kennett Square, PA 19348 Note: online applications accepted only.
  • Schedule: Full and part-time schedules. Days and hours may vary. Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. More details upon interview.
  • Requirement: Prep cook experience preferred.

Job Summary

Summary: Prepares food following federal, state, and corporate standards, ensuring quality service at all times.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prepares high-quality food items per recipes to meet schedules.
  • Serves meals or prepares for delivery, ensuring correct portions, temperatures, and presentation.
  • Uses ticket procedures during service; responsible for records.
  • Cleans kitchen after use, maintains standards of cleanliness.
  • Stores or discards excess food per safe handling procedures.
  • Keeps refrigerators and storerooms clean and organized.
  • Operates and maintains kitchen equipment.
  • Assists in planning, record keeping, ordering, and reporting.
  • Reports maintenance needs immediately.
  • Attends safety and in-service meetings.
  • Maintains good relationships with coworkers and clients.
  • Performs job safely, following HACCP standards and safety policies.
