Job summary

Newk’s Eatery is seeking a dedicated Prep Cook to support our kitchen by preparing fresh ingredients for daily service. You’ll join a team that values quality, efficiency, and teamwork, ensuring guests receive exceptional meals.

We provide training and opportunities for advancement in a supportive environment. Prior kitchen experience is helpful but not required, and we offer flexible scheduling to fit your life.

Qualifications

• Experience in prep cooking or kitchen prep is preferred, but not required.
• Ability to follow recipes and maintain consistency.
• Willingness to learn and work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Wash, cut, and portion fresh vegetables and fruits.
• Prepare proteins, cheeses, sauces, and dressings per recipes.
• Follow standardized recipes and portion guidelines for consistency.
• Label, rotate, and store food using FIFO methods.
• Prepare soups and other scratch-made items when assigned.
• Stock prep stations and keep areas clean and organized.
• Operate knives and kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
• Assist with deliveries, inventory, and product rotation.
• Support the line during busy periods as needed.
• Comply with all food safety and sanitation standards.
