Job summary

Newk’s Eatery is seeking a Kitchen Team Member to join our fast-paced kitchen and help deliver fresh, made-from-scratch meals. You’ll prepare a variety of menu items, maintain high standards of quality and food safety, and keep stations stocked and organized for smooth service.

Responsibilities

• Prepare sandwiches, salads, pizzas, soups, and other menu items according to Newk’s recipes and specifications.
• Maintain high standards for food quality, consistency, and presentation.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health department standards.
• Properly prep ingredients and stock stations for each shift.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
• Keep the kitchen clean, organized, and ready for peak business periods.
• Work with urgency during lunch and dinner rushes.
• Communicate effectively with teammates to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
• Assist with receiving deliveries, rotating inventory, and minimizing food waste.
• Support other stations whenever needed to keep the kitchen running efficiently.
