Qualifications

• Previous experience in a professional kitchen or food service environment preferred.
• Basic knife skills and familiarity with standard kitchen equipment.
• Knowledge of food safety practices; ServSafe certification a plus.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs; flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsabilités

• Execute daily prep tasks including chopping, slicing, dicing, and portioning ingredients to recipe specifications
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation in compliance with food safety standards
• Assist line cooks and kitchen staff during meal service to ensure smooth and timely operations
• Properly store and label all food items following FIFO procedures
• Prepare sauces, stocks, dressings, and other mise en place items as directed by the Chef
• Monitor and rotate inventory, communicating low stock levels to kitchen management
• Support overall kitchen cleanliness including dish washing and end-of-shift breakdown and cleaning
