Job summary

Wonolo in Maryland is seeking enthusiastic cooks to join our kitchen team. You will prepare and cook a variety of foods according to recipes and production guidelines while adhering to food safety standards and sanitation requirements.

You will set up and break down stations, assist teammates, and deliver good service to guests. Previous kitchen experience and ability to lift up to 25 lbs are preferred; certification in food safety is a plus.

Qualifications

• Experience as a cook or in a related role.
• Must have knowledge of basic food safety and sanitation.
• Must be able to obtain food safety certification.
• Demonstrates basic math and counting skills.
• Demonstrates interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Requires occasional lifting up to 25 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook foods according to production guidelines and recipes.
• Take orders from customers and cook items with short prep times.
• Grill, fry, and bake foods such as fries, eggs, and pancakes.
• Set up workstation with ingredients and equipment; tear down at shift end.
• Maintain contact with kitchen staff and customers to ensure smooth dining details.
• Follow safety policies and maintain a clean, safe environment.
