Job summary

Parry’s Pizzeria & Taphouse in Lubbock is seeking a part-time Prep Cook to support our Parker-originated kitchen. The role offers 20-25 hours per week, with a focus on prep, ingredients, and maintaining food quality and safety standards.

You will follow recipes and prep sheets, manage portions, keep the kitchen organized, and collaborate with Kitchen Managers to ensure smooth service. Nights and weekends availability is required, and the role includes flexible scheduling and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Ability to work nights and weekends.
• Strong attention to detail and organization.
• Capable of following recipes and prep standards consistently.
• Able to stand for extended periods.
• Able to lift up to 20 lbs as needed.
• Reliable, professional, and team-oriented demeanor.
• Willingness to learn and apply coaching in real time.

Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients by following recipes, prep sheets, and spec standards.
• Practice strong time management to complete prep efficiently and accurately.
• Understand portion sizes, taste profiles, and visual presentation.
• Label, date, and store all food items properly.
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen throughout the shift.
• Wash dishes, sanitize surfaces, and remove trash as needed to support BOH flow.
• Follow all safety and sanitation practices consistently.
• Communicate clearly with Kitchen Managers and BOH teammates to support daily execution.
