Job summary

Perkins Restaurant & Bakery in Ohio is seeking a Prep Cook to support kitchen operations and ensure every dish meets company standards. You'll prepare ingredients, keep an organized prep area, and follow food safety procedures while assisting line cooks and other team members to maintain smooth service.

No experience required; training is provided, and you must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods.

Qualifications

• No experience is required. Prior prep cook experience is a plus.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to stand, walk, reach, and bend for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients according to recipes and company specifications, including chopping, portioning, mixing, and stocking items.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked prep area throughout each shift.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and kitchen safety procedures.
• Support Line Cooks and other kitchen team members to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
• Properly label, store, and rotate food items according to company standards.
• Assist with cleaning, dishwashing, and restocking tasks as needed.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
