Job summary

The Cheesecake Factory is seeking a Prep Cook in Pittsburgh to join a fast-paced, full-service kitchen. You will follow prep lists, read recipes, and prepare ingredients for hundreds of menu items while maintaining high quality and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Prior kitchen experience preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• Reliable and punctual with a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Follow a prep list with speed and accuracy.
• Read and follow recipes with correct measurements and portioning.
• Prepare ingredients using knife skills (chopping, dicing, slicing).
• Use cooking methods including boiling, broiling, roasting, sauteing, frying, grilling.
• Prepare ingredients for 200+ menu items (sauces, dressings, soups).
• Operate kitchen equipment (ovens, fryers, broilers, flat tops, grills, mixers, slicers).
• Label, date, and rotate food using FIFO procedures.
• Maintain organization, safety, cleanliness, and sanitation.
• Adhere to food safety and cross-contamination prevention procedures.
• Support teamwork with clear communication and work well under pressure.
