Job summary

Sundance Mountain Resort is seeking a Prep Cook to support the culinary team by preparing food items in a timely and sanitary environment. Choose between part-time (30 hrs/week) or full-time (40 hrs/week) with a Monday–Sunday schedule and daytime hours.

Responsibilities include following prep lists, seasoning to spec, maintaining cleanliness, and assisting in other outlets as needed. Entry-level position with emphasis on food safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Entry-level kitchen position; no prior experience required.
• Basic knowledge of commercial kitchens and food production preferred.
• Must obtain a food handler's permit within 30 days of employment.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Read and follow directions on the daily prep list.
• Prepare foods in the correct quantity and preparation style as shown by a supervisor.
• Season and taste food to meet established standards.
• Maintain a clean and safe workspace; organize tasks to complete them timely.
• Organize and store food deliveries daily under supervisor guidance.
• Use basic knife skills and proper handling techniques.
• Follow basic recipe directions from standard kitchen recipes.
