Big Bad Breakfast is seeking a reliable Prep Cook to join our back-of-house team. You will help prepare and execute menu items with consistency and care to reflect our high standards. Must have weekend availability and be able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include following recipes, portioning ingredients, maintaining cleanliness, and assisting line cooks as needed. We offer growth opportunities, employee meals, and a supportive team culture.

Qualifications

• Previous prep or line cook experience preferred.
• Ability to follow recipes and maintain consistent quality.
• Must be able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Strong knife skills and understanding of basic cooking techniques.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients and recipes according to established specifications.
• Wash, chop, measure, and store ingredients properly.
• Follow daily prep lists and prioritize tasks to meet service demands.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in prep areas, walk-ins, and storage spaces.
• Label, date, and rotate all food products to maintain freshness and food safety.
• Assist line cooks and other team members during busy service periods.
• Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines; communicate effectively with kitchen staff and management.
