Job summary

Revel, adjacent to the Hilton Garden Inn Pittsburgh Downtown, is seeking a Prep Cook to join their team. Full-time and Part-Time positions are available. You will prepare ingredients and set up stations so our kitchen team can deliver high-quality dishes for our guests.

The Prep Cook will be responsible for prepping ingredients, following prep lists and recipes, and maintaining a clean and organized work area, with emphasis on safety and efficiency in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Previous kitchen or food prep experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to multitask in a high-volume kitchen.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic math skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients for service, including washing, chopping, portioning, and marinating vegetables, meats, and other items
• Follow prep lists and recipes to ensure consistency and accuracy for the line cooks
• Label, date, and store prepped items properly, rotating stock to maintain freshness (FIFO)
• Restock and set up line stations before service
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, including washing dishes and utensils and maintaining inventory levels
• Communicate effectively with other team members, including line cooks and kitchen management
• Follow all safety and sanitation policies and procedures
• Other duties as assigned
