Job summary

BRG Hospitality Group's Tavi Restaurant in Covington, LA is seeking a Prep Cook to support the production team by preparing menu items in advance and ensuring recipes and pars are followed for timely line readiness.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED (culinary training preferred), 2–3 years of prep cook experience, strong multitasking and time-management skills, the ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lb, and a commitment to food safety.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years’ experience in a similar prep cook role is preferred.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment and maintain quality.
• Strict adherence to food safety procedures and company standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and portion menu items according to recipes and par sheets.
• Follow recipes exactly to ensure consistency and quality.
• Maintain a clean, organized work station and rotate/store food safely.
• Assist line cooks and other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal prep.
• Adhere to all safety and sanitation procedures and wear appropriate attire.
