Vandelay Hospitality Group is seeking a motivated Prep Cook to join our culinary team. You will prepare ingredients according to recipes, portioning and cooking standards, ensuring consistency and quality across menus.

This role emphasizes punctuality, reliability, and efficient work habits to support high-volume service. As a Prep Cook, you will assist the Culinary Manager and kitchen staff, maintain prep standards, and help with daily setup and breakdown.

Qualifications

• 1+ years in hospitality industry.
• Strong knife skills and hot/cold line experience.
• State/local food safety certifications.
• Energetic, accountable and team oriented.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and with leaders in a fast-paced environment.
• Contributes ideas, takes ownership and goes beyond duties.
• Lift up to 50 pounds.
• Stand and walk for extended periods.
• Willingness to work weekends/holidays.
• Certified for food service as required by State and Local Agencies.

Responsibilities

• Support the Culinary Manager, Assistant Culinary Manager, and kitchen team with daily tasks.
• Maintain prep standards and all aspects of the culinary program.
• Execute all prep tasks with high accuracy and timeliness.
• Assist in daily kitchen setup and breakdown and care for equipment.
• Uphold cleanliness and sanitation standards.
• Handle all ingredient prep responsibilities.
