Job summary

TEI Hospitality, owner of Pelican Pete’s on Lake Lanier in Gainesville, GA, seeks a prep cook to support our kitchen team. The role focuses on preparing ingredients, sauces, and components for service, while upholding food safety standards in a fast-paced environment.

Ideal candidates are detail-oriented, efficient, and reliable, with basic knife skills and a strong team mindset. Training is provided for the right person, with weekend/holiday shifts possible."

Qualifications

• Must be authorized to work in the United States.
• Previous kitchen experience not required; training provided for the right candidate.
• Basic knife skills and knowledge of food safety practices.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Wash, peel, chop, slice, and portion ingredients according to recipes and standards.
• Prepare basic sauces, dressings, and other components as directed.
• Label, date, and store food items properly to maintain freshness and prevent waste.
• Maintain a clean and organized prep station and assist with kitchen cleanliness.
• Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Assist with receiving and storing deliveries.
• Communicate effectively with kitchen team to ensure timely preparation.
