Job summary

Jack Stack BBQ in Lenexa, KS seeks a kitchen team member to perform dish, grill, carry-out, and prep duties in a fast-paced environment.

You'll ensure quality line items, maintain cleanliness, and follow sanitation standards while supporting other team members to meet production schedules and guest needs.

Must be at least 18 years old and capable of standing for long periods, lifting up to 50 pounds, and working under pressure to deliver timely meals.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Cannot be convicted of a violent felony crime.
• Ability to compute basic mathematical calculations.
• Ability to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy.
• Ability to prioritize, organize and follow through.

Responsibilities

• Completes opening duties according to restaurant standards.
• Prepare all side items in preparation for service.
• Maintains complete knowledge of correct maintenance and use of equipment; uses equipment and tools only as intended, properly and safely.
• Inspects the cleanliness and organization of the line and workstations; rectifies any deficiencies. Maintains throughout the shift.
• Informs the Kitchen Manager of any shortages before item runs out.
• Communicates any assistance needed during busy periods to the Kitchen Manager to ensure optimum service to the guests.
• Assists other team members in completing their assigned duties and tasks.
• Minimizes waste and maintain controls to attain forecasted food cost.
• Breaks down workstation and complete closing duties according to restaurant standards.
• Maintains and strictly abides by sanitation/health regulations.
• Adheres to appearance and uniform standards.
• Adheres to all restaurant standards, policies and procedures.
• In addition, other duties may be assigned as the needs arise.
