Job summary

Mambo Seafood Restaurants in Houston is seeking a dependable Prep Cook to assist the Cook with preparing a variety of menu items in a fast-paced kitchen. You will read and follow recipes, measure ingredients, maintain clean stations, and help with opening/closing duties while delivering friendly, attentive service to guests.

The role requires basic English, a positive attitude, teamwork, and compliance with food safety policies; prior kitchen experience is a plus, and willingness to grow with

Qualifications

Must have a High school diploma or GED.
Must be at least 17 years of age.
Ability to speak, write and read simple English.
Spanish-speaking is a plus, but not required.
Must have a Food Handler Certificate.

Responsibilities

Maintains a professional and welcoming attitude while at work.
Prepares, washes, peels, and cuts various foods.
Adheres to the Company’s food production chart for batching, processing and portion prep.
Measurers ingredients according to recipes, stores food properly, and rotates stock.
Maintains cleanliness of prep areas and equipment.
Performs opening/closing side work and other duties as assigned.
