Fit Prep in Baltimore, MD is looking for a talented and motivated Prep Cook to join our kitchen team. This is a great opportunity to be part of a fast-paced, health-focused food environment where quality and consistency are at the heart of everything we do.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in a prep cook/kitchen/food service role is preferred.
• Basic knife skills and familiarity with kitchen equipment.
• Knowledge of food safety practices and sanitation standards.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to consistency and quality.
• Reliable, punctual, and team-first attitude.
• Food Handler's Certification or ServSafe is a plus.
• Must be available to work Friday to Saturday.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and portion ingredients according to standardized recipes and daily prep lists.
• Wash, chop, slice, and dice vegetables, proteins, and other ingredients with precision.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation throughout each shift.
• Follow proper food handling, storage, and labeling procedures (FIFO).
• Assist line cooks and kitchen staff during high-volume meal prep and service periods.
• Monitor and rotate stock, communicating low inventory levels to kitchen leadership.
• Adhere to all food safety and sanitation standards and health code regulations.
