Waterman Grille in Providence, RI is seeking a Prep Cook to join our kitchen team. Inside an historic 1871 gatehouse perched over the Seekonk River, we embrace seasonal, local ingredients and wood-fired techniques to create vibrant dishes.

The role involves routine prep, cooking and cleaning to keep the kitchen efficient. Prior cooking experience is welcomed, and we offer competitive pay, a strong team environment, and Employee Ownership through Newport Restaurant Group.

Qualifications

• Must have flexible schedule to work during the morning, day, nights, weekends, and some holidays as needed
• Prior experience a plus but not required

Responsibilities

• Measures and mixes ingredients according to recipe to prepare soups, salads, gravies, desserts, sauces, and casseroles
• Washes, peels, cuts, and shreds vegetables and fruits to prepare them for use
• Prepares meats, fish, vegetables, and other foods
• Prepares food products as determined by recipe, technique and procedure
