Job summary

Kneads Bakeshop is expanding and preparing to open a new location in Navy Yard, Washington, DC. We are looking for a great prepcook that enjoys a fast-paced, high volume, high quality, creative and fun environment.

Plan, prep, set up and provide quality service in all areas of food production for menu items and specials in accordance with departmental quality standards and recipes. Maintain organization, cleanliness and sanitation of work areas and equipment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a Prep Cook role.
• High volume, scratch or upscale kitchen experience.
• Previous restaurant experience.

Responsibilities

• Follow food safety guidelines and procedures.
• Maintain a clean and food-safe environment.
• Prepare, portion, and cook menu items to quality standards.
• Assess freshness and rotate stock as needed.
• Work as part of a team in a fast-paced setting.
