Kneads Bakeshop is expanding and preparing to open a new location in Navy Yard, Washington, DC. We are seeking a dynamic and friendly individual to join our team as a Server.

In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a delightful dining experience for our restaurant settings. Your primary duties will include greeting customers, taking orders, serving food and beverages, and maintaining a clean and inviting environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in customer service or food service preferred.
• Passion for food and hospitality.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic math for handling transactions.
• Availability to work weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and seat guests in a friendly and courteous manner.
• Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently.
• Serve food and drinks promptly and with attention to presentation.
• Anticipate and fulfill guests' needs throughout their dining experience.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the dining area, including clearing and sanitizing tables.
• Assist with packaging bakery items and presenting them attractively to customers.
• Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately.
• Provide recommendations and information about menu items, specials, and bakery offerings.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure orders are prepared and served correctly.
• Always adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Assist with opening and closing tasks as needed.
