Job summary

ADP, Inc. is seeking a Prep Cook to maintain cleanliness and sanitation of plates, glassware, and utensils, and to prepare sauces, dressings, marinades, and ready-to-eat foods. This role supports kitchen operations and upholds food safety standards.

You will work in a fast-paced environment, stand for long periods, lift up to 45 lbs, and may drive for deliveries as needed. Must be 16+ with reliable attendance and strong teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Sort, rinse and clean dirty dishes, glass, cooking utensils and prep equipment
• Sort and stack clean dishes
• Transfer clean dishes to cooks line and other proper storage areas
• Wash pots, pans and trays by hand
• Remove trash and garbage to dumpster
• Set up or break down dishwashing area
• Clean and roll/unroll mats
• Fill/empty soak tubs with cleaning/sanitizing solutions
• Sweep/mop floors
• Clean restaurant and restrooms as directed
• Must be able to drive and do deliveries as needed

POSITION SUMMARY

The prep cook is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards for plates, glassware, tableware, cooking utensils, etc., using machine and manual dish cleaning methods. They are also responsible for preparing sauces, dressings, marinades, skewering proteins, and a variety of ready to eat foods.

Key Responsibilities

Education and/or Experience

Must be at least 16 years of age Minimum of (0) years experience

Essential Physical Functions:

• Must have the ability/stamina to work a minimum of (20) hours a week.
• Ability to stand/walk for (7) hours per day.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to (45) lbs.
• Will frequently reach, feel, bend, stoop, carry.
• Must be able to work in both warm and cool environments, indoors and outdoors.
• Must be able to tolerate higher levels of noise from music and customer traffic.
• Must be able to tolerate potential allergens: peanut products, egg, dairy, gluten, soy, and seafood
