Job summary

Lunchtime Solutions is hiring a dependable Kitchen Helper to support Lake City School District’s lunch program. On-site, Monday through Friday, 7am–2pm, you’ll help prep simple menu items, serve students, and keep the kitchen clean and organized.

You’ll follow recipes, track portions, and maintain safety and logs while communicating needs to the team and supervisors. Enjoy a stable daytime schedule with built-in breaks.

Responsibilities

• Help prep and serve menu items, keep station stocked, follow serving-size guidelines.
• Follow simple recipes and keep kitchen, storage areas, and equipment clean using FIFO.
• Maintain food safety, complete basic logs, assist with production records, and keep workspace safe.
• Communicate supply needs and updates to team and supervisors.
• Stock and serve items during meal service and assist with prep lists and freezer pulls.
• Assist with training teammates and covering when someone is out.

Location: On-site at Lake City School District
Schedule: Monday–Friday 7am-2pm

Pay range: $13.00-14.50 per hour

Lunchtime Solutions is seeking a dependable, team‑focused Kitchen Helper to join our school food service program. In this role you’ll keep meal service running smoothly by helping prep simple menu items, serving students, and keeping the kitchen clean and organized. It’s an active, team‑focused role that makes a real impact on students’ day.

What You’ll Do

• Help prep and serve menu items, keep your station stocked, and follow serving‑size and special‑diet guidelines.
• Follow simple recipes like fruit and veggie bars or baked goods while keeping kitchen, storage areas, and equipment clean and organized using FIFO.
• Maintain food safety and compliance Follow food‑safety steps, complete basic logs, assist with production records and help maintain a safe workspace.
• Communicate supply needs, feedback, and updates to your team and supervisors.
• Stock and serve items during meal service and help with prep lists and freezer pulls.
• Jump in where needed from helping teammates, training new team members and assisting when someone is out.

• Ability to follow recipes, measure ingredients, and convert quantities for large batches.

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform frequent standing, bending, twisting, and other physical tasks.
