Job summary

RoadHouse Cinemas in Sahuarita, AZ is expanding with a new opening team for a Prep Cook role. You will set up stations, prep ingredients, and support the kitchen on a brigade-style line to ensure timely, high-quality meals.

The opening is anticipated mid-November 2026, with a Hiring Fair on October 23-24 at the new location (70 W Duval Mine Rd). Prior prep cook experience and a Food Handler card are preferred; flexibility and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Previous Prep Cook experience and/or training preferred.
• Food Handlers card (as required per location).
• Ability to work on a brigade-style line.

Responsibilities

• Complete prep forms.
• Label and stock all ingredients on shelves and follow FIFO procedures.
• Measure ingredients and seasonings for recipes.
• Prepare cooking ingredients by washing and chopping vegetables, cutting meat, etc.
• Undertake basic cooking duties such as reducing sauces and parboiling.
• Maintain a clean and orderly kitchen by washing dishes and sanitizing surfaces.
• Ensure all food and items are stored properly.
• Comply with nutrition and sanitation guidelines.
• Assist the rest of the kitchen as needed.
• Responsible for thaw-pulls.
• Ensure quality of ingredients used for prepping.
• Maintain products in walk-ins and freezers.
• Review bathroom cleanliness (per training).
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Summary

The Prep Cook will perform routine kitchen tasks such as setting up workstations and ingredients to prepare for proper execution of recipes.

Essential Functions

• Complete prep forms.
• Label and stock all ingredients on shelves so they can be organized and easily accessible. Follow FIFO (First in first out) procedures.
• Measure ingredients and seasonings to be used in cooking.
• Prepare cooking ingredients by washing and chopping vegetables, cutting meat, etc.
• Undertake basic cooking duties such as reducing sauces, parboiling food, etc.
• Maintain a clean and orderly kitchen by washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, taking out trash, etc.
• Ensure all food and other items are stored properly.
• Comply with nutrition and sanitation guidelines.
• Assist the rest of the kitchen as needed.
• Responsible for thaw-pulls.
• Ensure quality of ingredients used for prepping.
• Maintain products in walk-ins and freezer.
• Review bathroom cleanliness (per training guidelines).
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Overtime Notice:

This position is employed by a motion picture theater. Under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), employees of motion picture theater establishments are exempt from federal overtime requirements. As a result, employees in this position are not entitled to overtime premium pay (1.5× the regular rate) for hours worked over 40 in a workweek. Employees will be paid their applicable regular rate for all hours worked.

• This is a Safety Sensitive position due to the requirements of working with sharp tools and machinery.
