Description

As a Prep Cook, your role involves supporting the kitchen team by preparing ingredients, following recipes precisely, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring food safety standards are met. You will be an integral part of delivering a high-quality dining experience and supporting the overall operations of the restaurant.

Reports To: Chef

Schedule: This is a part-time, hourly, non-exempt position with flexible hours, including nights and weekends.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain punctuality, work ethic, and commitment to excellence.
  • Support team efforts with responsibility, honesty, and reliability.
  • Follow all safety, sanitation, and hygiene guidelines.
  • Assist in food preparation and presentation, adhering to recipes and standards.
  • Label and date all prep items accurately.
  • Ensure food safety, quality, and presentation standards are met.
  • Manage receiving, inspecting, and storing deliveries properly.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen and storage areas.
  • Sanitize work surfaces regularly to prevent cross-contamination.
  • Participate in team meetings and be receptive to feedback and cross-training opportunities.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a high-volume, full-service restaurant.

Physical Requirements

  • Stand and move efficiently for up to 5 hours.
  • Reach, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
