Job summary

OGeez! Brands is expanding to New Jersey and seeks a Prep Cook/Confectioner to produce high-quality cannabis-infused gummies. You will follow detailed recipes, perform dosage calculations, mix ingredients, and maintain logs while upholding safety standards.

Ideal candidates have 2 years in food production, can work 40 hours weekly, and are 21+ with reliable transportation. Starting pay is $18.00 per hour, with benefits including health, dental, vision, and more.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2 years of kitchen or food production experience preferred.
• Must be 21 or older and able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Be the official creator of the gummy solution and follow detailed recipes for high quality gummies.
• Perform mathematical calculations to ensure proper dosage and consistency.
• Mix ingredients to achieve proper homogenization and texture.
• Keep accurate production logs and maintain a clean workstation.
• Inspect finished products for quality and presentation; ensure regulatory compliance.
• Communicate clearly with coworkers and supervisors; follow instructions.
• Handle packaging and labeling as needed; adhere to safety procedures.
• Follow all health and safety regulations and contribute to a safe work environment.
• Support a fast-paced production line and maintain weekly 40-hour schedules.

We’re a fast-growing and fast-moving company looking to hire a Prep Cook/Confectioner to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Be the official creator of the gummy solution.
• Efficiently follow detailed recipes to produce gummies with high quality, consistency, and minimal waste.
• Perform mathematical calculations to ensure proper dosage.
• Properly mix all ingredients to ensure adequate homogenization.
• Keep accurate and legible production logs.
• Maintain a clean and tidy workstation.
• Inspect finished products for quality and visual presentation.
• Communicate clearly with coworkers and supervisors.
• Packaging and labeling duties as needed.
• Follow all regulations for health and safety.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

You’ll be a good candidate if you have:

• Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment with the ability to deliver accuracy while meeting and exceeding goals.
• High school diploma or GED (required), Associate degree and/or 2-year culinary preferred
• 2-year working experience in a kitchen, or food production.
• Ability to work 40 hours per week.
• Ability to work on your feet for an 8-hour shift.
• Reliable transportation.
• Pass a fingerprint clearance and background check, as required by state law.
• Possess basic math skills.
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks.
• Detail oriented and able to follow meticulous instructions.
• Must be 21 or older.
• Must have a positive attitude.
• The ability to work well with others.
• Must be able to lift or carry up to 50 lbs.

Compensation & Benefits

We offer a competitive compensation and benefits package, with a starting pay of $18.00 per hour.
