PREP COOK

Our Culinary Team is responsible for completing the prep list. We seek individuals who thrive on quality, consistency, and execution, as well as maintaining a clean and efficient workspace to uphold Townhouse - Detroit's culinary standards.

Job Responsibilities :

  • Prepare a variety of meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables, and other food items using broilers, ovens, grills, fryers, and other kitchen equipment according to standardized recipes.
  • Safely and effectively operate all necessary tools and equipment, including knives.
  • Follow all prescribed portioning controls and par levels.
  • Maintain food safety and quality standards.
  • Read and interpret thermometers correctly and efficiently.
  • Communicate any food delays or issues to your Line Chef.
  • Maintain menu item counts and inform Management and service staff when quantities fall below restaurant-specific minimums.
  • Accurately account for all items coming out of the station.
  • Understand and follow food allergy procedures and handle special orders/restrictions.
  • Comply with all safety and sanitation guidelines and procedures.
  • Work well with others and be a team player.
  • Other duties as assigned.
