As a Prep Cook, you will be responsible for adhering strictly to recipe standards, maintaining food safety, cleanliness, and sanitation standards during your shift. You will prepare food using proper safety equipment, tools, and recipe specifications under the direction of management. Additionally, you will manage the organization of storage areas, including the walk-in cooler, freezer, and dry storage, and prepare fresh, appealing food.

Responsibilities:

• Follow prep list created by Kitchen Manager
• Accurately measure ingredients and follow recipes
• Prepare ingredients by washing, slicing vegetables, and cutting meats
• Perform basic cooking tasks such as sautéing vegetables and boiling soups
• Label and stock food products for proper rotation
• Maintain sanitation and cleanliness standards
• Perform other related duties as requested

Qualifications:

• Minimum age: 18 years
• Good understanding of ingredients, recipes, kitchen safety, and hygiene
• Familiarity with kitchen equipment and appliances
• Ability to follow instructions accurately and efficiently
• Ability to perform well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Reliable transportation
• Ability to lift at least 20 lbs

Compensation: $17.00 per hour
