Brand new restaurant opening early summer. Unique opportunity to be an original team member at the first Slater’s 50/50 in Colorado! We are seeking dynamic and enthusiastic individuals who will embrace the opportunity and challenge of establishing a new upscale sports bar concept in Denver.

Position Summary

Prep Cooks prepare the restaurant for service by ensuring that the products are prepped, stocked, and safely stored.

Shifts/Hours

Expected Start Date: July 13th. Full Time, AM or PM Shifts Possible.

Major Responsibilities

Primary duties include but are not limited to:

• Reading and executing all prep recipes accurately
• Preparing food according to schedule and completing tasks on time
• Having adequate knife skills
• Keeping prep area clean and organized
• Maintaining cleanliness and organization of storage areas
• Proper food storage and safety
• Maintaining kitchen work areas, equipment, and utensils in clean condition
• Sweeping and scrubbing floors
• Receiving and storing supplies
• Transferring supplies and equipment between storage and work areas
• Executing line sweeps and trash changes as needed
• Stocking supplies on the cook line, refrigerators, and storage areas
• Performing other duties such as cleaning and preparing foods
• Following all safety and sanitation policies
• Clocking in/out and taking breaks as per policy
• Adhering to all Slater’s 50/50 policies, procedures, rules, and regulations
• Reporting to supervisors as directed
• Performing duties with urgency and to standards

Essential Requirements

• Skills and experience to perform job duties
• Food handler's card
• Ability to stand for 8 hours and communicate effectively
• Ability to read and follow recipes and policies
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. repeatedly and lift trashcans up to 150 lbs. with assistance
• Ability to bend, stoop, reach, push, and lift frequently
• Ability to work in hot, damp environments
• Awareness of hazards like cuts, burns, slips, and trips
• Frequent hand washing
