Job summary

Grubbs Family of Dealerships is seeking a skilled Preowned Automotive Technician in Texas to inspect, recondition, and service our used-vehicle inventory. Your work directly impacts quality, safety, and value.

You’ll diagnose mechanical/electrical issues across multiple makes, complete safety inspections, and clearly document repairs for management. We offer paid training, a supportive team, and a culture of integrity and growth.

Qualifications

• Experience repairing vehicles across multiple brands.
• Strong diagnostic and mechanical skills.
• ASE certifications a plus.
• Own a basic set of tools.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform thorough used-vehicle inspections and reconditioning to frontline-ready standard.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues across makes and models.
• Complete safety inspections and any CPO/ certification requirements.
• Document repairs clearly and communicate condition to management.
• Maintain clean, safe, and organized work area and care for shop equipment.
• Work efficiently to maintain tight reconditioning timelines.
