Job summary

Grubbs Family of Dealerships seeks a Preowned Automotive Technician to inspect, recondition, and service our used vehicle inventory. You will ensure vehicles meet safety and quality standards before hitting the front line, across multiple brands.

You will diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues, perform safety inspections, and maintain a clean, organized workspace. Training and certification support are provided in a team-first culture.

Qualifications

• Experience in automotive repair across multiple brands preferred.
• Strong diagnostic and mechanical abilities essential.
• Own a basic set of tools and a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Perform thorough used-vehicle inspections and reconditioning to front-line-ready standard.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues across makes/models.
• Complete safety inspections and any CPO requirements to standard.
• Document repairs clearly and communicate condition to management.
• Maintain clean, safe, and organized work area; care for shop equipment.

The Opportunity

We’re seeking a skilled Preowned Automotive Technician to inspect, recondition, and service our used vehicle inventory. Your work directly impacts the quality, safety, and value of every vehicle we put on the front line — and we hold reconditioning to the same standard a customer would expect on a brand-new car.

What You’ll Do

• Perform thorough, honest used-vehicle inspections and complete reconditioning to front-line-ready standard
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues accurately across multiple makes and models
• Complete safety inspections and any certification (CPO) requirements to the letter
• Document all needed and completed repairs clearly and communicate condition to management
• Work efficiently to keep reconditioning timelines tight so vehicles hit the line fast
• Flag safety concerns and quality issues — never pass a vehicle that isn’t right
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area and properly care for shop equipment

What We’re Looking For

• Automotive repair experience across multiple brands preferred
• Strong diagnostic and mechanical skills
• ASE certifications a plus
• Own a basic set of tools
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
