Job summary

SnapCare in Santa Fe, NM is seeking an RN - Pre Operative to join our regional medical center. The RN will coordinate and implement patient care aligned with age-specific needs and use EPIC EMR to document assessments and plans.

You will work 8-hour day shifts from 6:30 AM to 3:30 PM, 5 days per week, with no weekend requirements and on-call 1-2 nights weekly. The role includes patient and family education and discharge planning as part of comprehensive perioperative care.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in NM or current Compact state license required.
• BLS Certification from AHA required.
• ACLS Certification from AHA required.
• Experience in pre-operative nursing is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and record initial assessments for pre-operative patients.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans within nursing standards.
• Reassess patients to identify progress and needed interventions.
• Coordinate patient care and education for patients and families.
• Prepare patients for discharge and contribute to discharge planning.
