Job summary

Eye Associates of New Mexico is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our Ambulatory Surgery Center team in Santa Fe, focusing on Holding/Pre-Op and PACU to support safe, efficient perioperative care. This regular full-time position has no nights, weekends, holidays, or on-call and offers a collaborative environment with a strong emphasis on patient safety and excellent outcomes.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree or Diploma in Nursing required.
• 3+ years PACU/Pre-Op experience in hospital or day surgery.
• ACLS and BLS certifications current.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care before and after surgery.
• Assess, plan, implement, and document patient care.
• Prepare patients for surgery and ensure complete documentation.
• Coordinate care with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and care teams.
• Monitor patients pre- and post-operatively and manage emergencies.
• Educate patients and families about perioperative care.
• Maintain a safe, efficient, and patient-focused surgical environment.
• Serve as patient advocate and promote safety and comfort.
