Job summary

Wellness Avenue Surgery Center is seeking a full-time PreOp/PACU Registered Nurse to deliver coordinated nursing care before and after anesthesia for surgical patients. The RN will monitor patient status, ensure safety and comfort, and support discharge planning in a high-quality ambulatory setting.

Qualifications include graduation from an accredited RN program, an active Florida RN license, BLS and ACLS at minimum (PALS if required), and 2 years’ PACU/CCU experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing.
• Active RN license in the state.
• BLS and ACLS required, PALS if required by the center.
• 2 years of experience in PACU or Critical Care preferred.
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Provide continuous and quality nursing care for all patients, with continual evaluation of the patient’s condition.
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care and family in preparation for discharge.
• Assist physicians in procedure rooms with tasks including conscious sedation and sterile technique as appropriate.
• Provide post-anesthesia care for patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation; ensure safety, comfort and privacy.
