Job summary

Advanced Surgical Care of Clearwater, LLC is seeking a PRN RN PACU to join our fast-paced ambulatory surgery center. The role focuses on the care of patients recovering from general anesthesia or conscious sedation, ensuring safety, comfort and privacy throughout the recovery period.

The PACU RN will support physicians in procedure rooms and perform duties with sterile technique as appropriate, while coordinating assessments, planning, and discharge preparation with the patient and family.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing.
  • Active RN license in the state.
  • BLS and ACLS required; PALS if required by the center.
  • 2 years experience in PACU or Critical Care preferred.
  • Strong decision-making and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provide continuity and quality nursing care for patients coming from anesthesia or sedation.
  • Monitor patient conditions, ensure safety, comfort and privacy.
  • Assist physicians in procedure rooms as needed and with sterile technique.

Preoperative Pacu Registered Nurse Per Diem (PACU RN) at Advanced Surgical Care of Clearwater, LLC

The PACU Registered Nurse provides continuity and quality nursing care for all patients, with continual evaluation of the patient's condition, providing patient safety, comfort, and privacy at all times. May assist the physicians in the procedure rooms with various tasks, conscious sedation, and utilizing sterile techniques as deemed appropriate. Will provide total comprehensive patient care to patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation; assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the patient and family in preparation for discharge

Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing
  • Active RN license in the state
  • BLS and ACLS Required, PALS if required by the center
  • 2 years experience in PACU or Critical Care preferred
  • Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment
  • Able to prioritize and organize workload to meet the needs of patients and the unit
  • Strong communication skills, verbal and written
