Job summary

AdventHealth in Shawnee Mission, KS is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to provide comprehensive patient care in a busy hospital setting. The RN will perform thorough assessments, develop and implement individualized care plans, administer medications, educate patients and families, and collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure high-quality outcomes.

The position requires an active RN license and BLS certification, with ACLS and other specialty certifications preferred to support

Qualifications

RN license required.
BLS certification required.
ACLS/CCNS/NEONATAL or other advanced certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients’ physiological and psychosocial needs.
Develop and implement individualized care plans and revise as necessary.
Administer medications and treatments per orders and protocols.
Educate patients and families about conditions and self-care.
Coordinate with staff to optimize patient care and teamwork.
Maintain accurate documentation in the medical record.
Evaluate care plan effectiveness and adjust to improve outcomes.
Ensure infection control and safety compliance.
Provide emotional support to patients and families.
Supervise care provided by team members.
Pursue ongoing professional development and performance improvement.
Respond to code situations and stabilize patients.
