Job summary

Cool Springs Surgery Center in Franklin, TN, seeks a Preop Recovery Nurse to provide peri-operative patient care in an ambulatory surgical setting. The nurse will work under the Director of Nursing and PACU Manager, following physician orders and facility policies.

Responsibilities include direct patient care in pre/post-operative areas, supervision of ancillary staff, and ensuring discharge readiness. Minimum two years in a critical care environment and active nursing licensure are required,

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of experience in ICU/Emergency/Recovery or similar critical care nursing environment.
• Graduate of approved school of professional nursing with current and valid licensure.
• Ability to obtain CPR/ACLS/PALS within 60 days of employment.
• Knowledge of healthcare regulations and standards.
• Strong verbal and written English communication for safe patient care and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Direct patient care in pre-operative and post-operative areas.
• Supervise ancillary personnel and delegate tasks.
• Participate in service recovery and communicate with patients and families.
• Review daily schedule and prepare patient care areas according to procedure type.
• Notify physicians and staff of changes in patient status.
• Complete pre-operative interviews and obtain informed consent as required.
• Complete post-anesthesia records and ensure discharge criteria are met.
