Job summary

South Texas Specialty Hospital in San Antonio, Texas, is hiring a Full-Time RN for PreOp/PACU to provide continuous, high-quality nursing care from admission through discharge following anesthesia or sedation.

The role requires graduation from an accredited RN program, active Texas RN license, BLS and ACLS, with PALS if required, and at least two years in PACU or critical care. Strong communication and nursing judgment are essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing.
• Active RN license in the state.
• BLS and ACLS Required, PALS if required by the center.
• 2 years of experience in PACU or Critical Care preferred.
• Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment.

Responsibilities

• Provide continuity and quality nursing care for all patients.
• Continual evaluation of the patient''s condition for safety, comfort and privacy.
• Assist physicians in procedure rooms with conscious sedation and sterile techniques as deem ed appropriate.
• Provide total comprehensive patient care from anesthesia/sedation to discharge planning.
