Surgical Institute of Reading - Reading Surgery Center is seeking a part-time PreOp/PACU Registered Nurse to join our ambulatory surgery team in Reading, PA. The role emphasizes patient safety, anesthesia recovery, and coordinated care with the surgical staff.

Ideal candidates will have RN licensure in the state, BLS/ACLS (PALS when required), and PACU or critical care experience. Join a facility committed to excellence in infection control and patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN program.
• Active RN license in the state.
• BLS and ACLS required; PALS if required by the center.
• 2 years PACU or Critical Care experience preferred.
• Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment; strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide continuous and quality nursing care for patients in PreOp and PACU, ensuring safety and privacy.
• Assist physicians in procedure rooms with conscious sedation and sterile technique as appropriate.
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient status for discharge readiness and education.
• Uphold infection control standards and collaborate with the surgical team to maintain efficiency.
