Surgical Institute of Reading - Reading Surgery Center in Reading, PA is seeking a part-time PreOp/PACU Registered Nurse. The role delivers continuous, high-quality nursing care for patients preoperatively through PACU, maintaining safety, comfort and privacy.

The ideal candidate holds an accredited RN degree, an active PA RN license, and current BLS/ACLS (PALS if required). Two years in PACU/critical care preferred; strong communication and nursing judgment are essential to support the surgical

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing.
• Active RN license in the state.
• BLS and ACLS required (PALS if required by the center).
• 2 years of PACU or Critical Care preferred.
• Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment.
• Strong communication skills and workload prioritization.

Responsibilities

• Provide continuity and quality nursing care for patients from preop to PACU.
• Assist physicians in procedure rooms with conscious sedation and sterile techniques as deemed appropriate.
• Conduct assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patients for discharge.
