Job summary

Banner Surgery Center – Reid Park, operated by Atlas Healthcare Partners in Tucson, AZ, seeks a full-time Registered Nurse to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for surgical patients. This role emphasizes evidence-based practice, leadership, and mentoring within a collaborative team.

You will work across PreOp/PACU areas, ensuring timely assessments, discharge planning, and adherence to policies and standards. BLS/ACLS required; PALS within 90 days for pediatrics as applicable.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree or Diploma in Nursing required.
• Must possess a current, valid RN license in state of practice, temporary RN license in state of practice, or compact RN licensure.
• BLS and ACLS required.
• PALS certification required within 90 days of start date if assigned ASC services pediatrics.

Responsibilities

• Assesses patient needs across physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, and post-operative planning.
• Formulates a plan of care including discharge planning with input from patient, family, and health team.
• Implements the plan through direct care, coordination, delegation, and supervision.
• Evaluates patient and family response to care and revises the plan as needed.
• Documents assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation in the patient record with timely, legible entries.
• Participates in leadership, education, and mentoring within the facility.
