Job summary

Colorado Urologic Surgery Center - St. Anthony's is seeking a PREOP/PACU Registered Nurse to deliver continuous, high-quality care in the PreOp and PACU areas. You will monitor patients, assist during procedures with conscious sedation and sterile technique, and ensure safe recovery from anesthesia or sedation.

The role emphasizes patient safety and thorough discharge readiness. We value strong nursing judgment, effective communication, and the ability to prioritize tasks to meet unit needs.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing.
• Active RN license in the state.
• BLS and ACLS Required, PALS if required by the center.
• 2 years of experience in PACU or Critical Care preferred.
• Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment.
• Able to prioritize and organize workload to meet the needs of patients and the unit.
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Provide continuity and quality nursing care for PreOp and PACU patients.
• Monitor patient condition, safety, comfort, and privacy throughout care.
• Assist physicians in procedure rooms with conscious sedation and sterile technique.
• Provide post-anesthesia assessment and planning for discharge preparation.
• Coordinate patient and family education and transitions of care.
