Job summary

Colorado Urologic Surgery Center - St. Anthony's is hiring a PREOP/PACU Registered Nurse for outpatient urologic procedures. The RN will provide continuous assessment, patient safety, and comfort, and may assist physicians in procedure rooms with conscious sedation and sterile techniques.

The role requires an accredited RN degree, active RN license in the state, BLS/ACLS (PALS if required), and 2 years PACU/critical care experience. Excellent communication and organizational skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing.
• Active RN license in the state.
• BLS and ACLS Required, PALS if required by the center.
• 2 years of experience in PACU or Critical Care preferred.
• Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment.
• Able to prioritize and organize workload to meet the needs of patients and the unit.
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Provide continuity and quality nursing care for all patients with continual evaluation of patient condition.
• Assist physicians in procedure rooms with tasks including conscious sedation and sterile techniques as deemed appropriate.
• Provide total comprehensive patient care to patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation; assess, plan, implement, and evaluate preparation for discharge.
