Job summary

Colorado Urologic Surgery Center - Superior is hiring a PREOP/PACU Registered Nurse. The PreOp/PACU RN provides continuous nursing care, assessing and ensuring patient safety before discharge.

May assist physicians in procedure rooms with sedation and sterile techniques, delivering total care as patients emerge from anesthesia. Qualifications include RN license, BLS/ACLS (PALS if required), and 2 years PACU/Critical Care experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing.
• Active RN license in the state.
• BLS and ACLS Required, PALS if required by the center.
• 2 years of experience in PACU or Critical Care preferred.
• Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment.
• Able to prioritize and organize workload to meet the needs of patients and the unit.
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Provide continuity and quality nursing care for all patients with safety and privacy.
• Assist physicians in procedure rooms with sedation and sterile technique as appropriate.
• Provide comprehensive care to patients emerging from anesthesia and/or sedation; assess, plan, implement and evaluate for discharge.
