Job summary

AdventHealth Surgery Center Mills Park in Orlando, FL seeks a PreOp/PACU Registered Nurse to provide continuous, high-quality nursing care for patients emerging from anesthesia, ensuring safety, comfort, and privacy throughout the perioperative period.

The role supports physicians in the procedure suite, prioritizes patient assessments, and coordinates discharge planning, with required RN licensure, BLS/ACLS, and PACU or critical care experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing
• Active RN license in the state
• BLS and ACLS Required, PALS if required by the center
• 2 years of experience in PACU or Critical Care preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide continuity and quality nursing care for all patients.
• Evaluate the patient's condition with continual evaluation, ensuring safety, comfort and privacy.
• Assist physicians in the procedure rooms with conscious sedation and sterile techniques where appropriate.
• Provide total comprehensive patient care to patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation, including planning and discharge evaluation.
