Job summary

South Denver Surgery Center is seeking a PRN Preop/PACU Registered Nurse to join our team. Under the direct supervision of the Pre-Op/PACU manager, the PACU nurse provides comprehensive patient care after anesthesia, monitors status, and ensures safety and comfort.

The ideal candidate holds an accredited nursing degree with a CO RN license and current BLS/ACLS/PALS, plus PACU/ICU experience. This on-site role offers daytime hours with no weekends or holidays and competitive benefits.

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
Current CO Registered Nurse License.
Current BLS, ACLS and PALS.
ASC experience a plus.
Experience in PACU / ICU required.
Good communication and human relations skills.
Ability to organize and follow through on own initiative.
Thorough knowledge of perioperative process and anesthesia implications.

Responsibilities

Implement physician orders and provide continuity of nursing care.
Monitor and evaluate patient condition with emphasis on safety, comfort, and privacy.
Assist physicians in procedure rooms with conscious sedation and sterile technique; discharge planning.
