Job summary

Western Carolina Surgery Center, part of the USPI family, is hiring a full-time PreOp PACU RN to support preoperative and postoperative care in our ambulatory facility. As a member of the surgical team, you will perform assessments, educate patients, administer medications, monitor recovery, and collaborate with surgeons and anesthesiologists.

We seek a graduate of an accredited RN program with active RN license, BLS/ACLS, and ideally 2 years PACU or critical care experience; strong

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN program and active RN license in the state.
• BLS and ACLS required; PALS if required by the center.

Responsibilities

• Preoperative duties: conduct thorough preoperative assessments, educate patients and families, administer prescribed medications, ensure infection control, manage IV lines, collaborate with surgical team.
• Postoperative duties: provide PACU recovery care, manage pain, monitor for complications, administer postoperative meds, document care, assist with discharge planning.
• Additional: perform circulating and/or scrub responsibilities as needed to support procedures and OR workflow.
